Specimen Requirements

Collect: Red top tube

Pediatric:  Two red top microtainers

Stability: Refrigerated: 14 days

Required for Testing: 0.5 mL serum

Collection Remarks: Specimen should be drawn immediatetly prior to next dose, or AT LEAST 12 hours after last dose.

Reference Ranges

2.5 - 15.0 ug/mL; potentially toxic > 20.0 ug/mL

UML Lab Processing Instructions

Transport Temperature: Refrigerated

Instructions: Centrifuge within 2 hours of collection.  Serum must be removed from red cells and aliquot 0.5 mL into aliquot vial and refrigerate.
